Permanent and contract Recycling Site Officer vacancies

Recycling officers play an important part in protecting the environment by planning and developing council plans for minimising the waste that goes to landfill. This is achieved by the co-ordination of schemes for recycling both domestic and industrial waste glass, paper and cans. Recycling officer jobs are often part of a wider environmental team consisting of waste management and environmental health.

A recycling officer may also help to deal with waste treatment and disposal, street litter and fly-tipping. These are generally office based management roles, but some site visits will be required to ensure the carefully made plans are being put into practice.
